3-Day Turkmenistan Tour: Bajgiran Border – Ashgabat – Darvaza
Enter Turkmenistan from Iran at the Bajgiran border and head straight into Ashgabat, the world-famous city of white marble. Travel north through the desert to the glowing Darvaza Gas Crater, the legendary "Gates of Hell," and spend an unforgettable night beside the burning crater at a yurt camp. The relaxed three-day route also includes a full day of sightseeing across Ashgabat's iconic monuments and illuminated night views.

DAY BY DAY
Day 1 — Bajgiran Border – Ashgabat
Upon arrival at the Bajgiran border crossing, you will be met and assisted with all border formalities. After completing the procedures, you are transferred by car to Ashgabat, about 66 km away. You will check into your hotel, and the rest of the day is free to explore the city. Overnight in Ashgabat.
Day 2 — Ashgabat – Darvaza
After breakfast, we drive north toward the Darvaza Gas Crater, also known as the "Gates of Hell." The journey is around 271 km and takes roughly 4.5 hours on a rough road. We aim to arrive just before sunset to enjoy the dramatic views as daylight fades, with time to explore around the crater. Dinner is served at a nearby yurt camp, and you spend the night at Darvaza in yurts or tents.
Day 3 — Darvaza – Ashgabat – Departure
After breakfast at Darvaza, we drive back toward Ashgabat, again about 271 km and around 4.5 hours, arriving around noon. In the afternoon you enjoy a comprehensive city tour of Ashgabat covering its main attractions, followed by night sightseeing of the illuminated monuments and architecture. This day is fully dedicated to the city tour, and the tour ends in the evening.
