2 Day Tour: Ashgabat – Night Train – Dashoguz – Shavat
A compact two-day journey that pairs the white-marble capital of Ashgabat with the northern Dashoguz region, linked by an authentic overnight sleeper train. You arrive in Ashgabat, explore the city and its melon culture, then board the night train to wake up in Dashoguz. The tour is designed for travelers heading on to Uzbekistan, ending at the Shavat border crossing.
DAY BY DAY
Day 1 — Ashgabat → Night Train to Dashoguz
You are met at Ashgabat International Airport on arrival (the exact meeting time is confirmed once you share your flight number) and freshen up over a quick breakfast at a local café. A city tour follows, including a visit to the Melon Festival with tasting of local melons and traditional Turkmen dishes, lunch at a recommended restaurant, and a walk through Ashgabat's striking white-marble architecture. In the evening you transfer to the railway station to board the night train, which departs at 20:30; a comfortable sleeper berth is arranged for the overnight journey to Dashoguz.
Day 2 — Dashoguz → Shavat Border
You arrive in Dashoguz at 08:20 in the morning, enjoy breakfast and a short city visit. Afterwards you transfer to the Shavat border crossing for your exit to Uzbekistan, where the tour ends.
