
1-Day Bukhara to Turkmenabat Tour via Farab
A compact cross-border day trip from Bukhara into Turkmenistan through the Farab checkpoint. In 12 to 14 hours you explore the Ancient Amul fortress ruins, the Lebap Regional Museum, and the city mosques, then stroll along the Amu Darya embankment before returning to Bukhara. DAY BY DAY
Day 1 — Bukhara – Turkmenabat city tour
Cross the border at Farab and head into Turkmenabat for a day of history and culture. Visit the Lebap Regional Museum for regional history and archaeological finds, then explore the ruins of the ancient Amul settlement, a historic Silk Road fortress. See the Türkmenabat Mosque and other local mosques, along with monuments scattered across the city, and enjoy a scenic walk along the Amu Darya River embankment. The itinerary stays flexible, adjusting to when you cross the border so you can return to Bukhara at your preferred time.
